Play Priorities
Napier City Council wanted natural play and natural elements in this action-packed playground at Te Awa Reserve to complement the existing pond and green open space.
Designed with community input, the play space for children of all ages was designed to increase the amenity and liveability of the new subdivision, while remaining unobtrusive to neighbours.
Fun Solution
Completed in natural timber with bark flooring, the playground provides plenty of opportunities for fun, social connection and quiet retreat.
A wide age range of children can challenge their balance, agility and concentration on the stepping log fitness station, balance logs (as seen in Activity Trails 2126) and the Natures Recluse.
This, along with the popular Spider web net, provides a great hang-out space as well as an opportunity for climbing and tumbling.
While younger children will enjoy scrambling over the Cubby Climbing Hutt, younger ones will find a calm space inside for a quiet game.
The Flying Saucer timba triple frame features a net basket, toddler and adult swings, while the Trampoline Pi will have children bouncing for joy.
Families of all ages will be in a spin over the Whirlpool Family Carousel.
