Play Priorities

The client was seeking a bespoke playground fit for a high-profile, new subdivision in Stonefields, Auckland. The vision was to create a vibrant play space for all ages, stages and abilities, whilst capturing the heritage of what was once a busy, thriving quarry scene.

Fun Solution

The Playground Centre worked to turn this concept into reality. A tower structure was designed and built using a variety of materials including timber, steel and mesh. The three towers stand out while being unobtrusive amongst the landscape. They are a real draw-card for adults and children alike. Users can climb and clamber and twist inside these ‘old quarry’ towers yet remain in full view, or can disappear down the exit slide!!

The tower structure is linked to numerous activities and boasts a maze of viewing platforms and a super popular tube slide. Other pieces such as spinners, flying fox and swings complete this dynamic space.
