Play Priorities
Fun for all was the focus for this neighbourhood playground at Kennedyâs Landing, a bespoke housing development in the growing community of semi-rural Halswell, outside Christchurch.
Working with the developer and Xteriorscapes Landscape Architecture, the neighbourhood playground drew upon our unique imported range which was customised to suit the wide age range of resident families.
Fun Solution
With a community of growing families, the developer wanted an attractive, multi-age neighbourhood playground for locals which complemented and reflected the look and feel of nearby housing.
The landscaped park features a customised Little Eagleâs Nest Prairie with Koru Wave Slide for plenty of climbing fun, along with a double embankment slide.
Up to four children at a time can enjoy the Pendulum Swing, a simple but effective way to  make playgrounds more inclusive. The three-bay Timba Swing includes a toddler seat, vandal resistant strap swing and the face-to-face Expression Swing Seat - allowing a parent/caregiver to sit in the adult swing with an under-five in the bucket seat.
The natural timber, beige and green tones complement the semi-rural setting.
The result is a landscaped play space filled with benefit-rich play equipment, made in New Zealand and built to last.
