GEMS Wellington International School in Dubai is a dynamic and vibrant learning community, where students aged three to eighteen are engaged and challenged to reach their individual potential. The school strongly believes in a holistic education and the importance of children being happy in order to be truly successful.
So, when it came to building a play space for the younger children, the priority was creating a world-class playground that was exciting and challenging â while promoting fun, wellbeing and special memories. The equipment needed to meet the schoolâs learning goals, including coordination, balance, communication, risk assessment and social interaction. Of course, safety was central to the brief, with a low FHOF (Free Height of Fall).

Playground Centre worked with GEMS Wellington to choose the perfect pieces from our fitness equipment range. Variety, irresistible action and personal development were key â with a crawl tunnel to excite the imagination, balance beams to challenge balance and agility, a log bridge to help build coordination, and a commando climber to boost fine motor skills and strength, as well as problem-solving and risk-assessment abilities.
All units can be used individually or as a circuit, providing great play value and exercise which aligns with the UAE Ministry of Health and Preventionâs MoveitUAE initiative, encouraging the people of the United Arab Emirates to become healthier through activity.
