Play Priorities
The Kevin Flint Memorial Reserve in the Melbourne suburb of Cairnlea has long been a destination for play and recreation. On weekdays and weekends, residents from the Cairnlea Estate and surrounding areas flock to the lakeside parkland to stretch their legs and get some exercise, enjoy a picnic or BBQ, and play in the playground.
Conscious of the need to maintain the parkâs facilities for the communityâs enjoyment, the Brimbank City Council approached Playground Centre to find out how they could boost the play value of the existing playground.
Fun Solution
Sometimes a playground just needs some extra oomph!
The cleverly designed Activity Tower 106 instantly added an exciting number of play options to the Reserveâs playground. Built to cater for children of all ages (and a horde of them at once), the large, multi-tiered tower structure boasts two slides and a host of different climbing features â from traditional rope ladders and poles to a climbing wall.
You couldnât ask for a more perfect solution for a playground upgrade to give children more reasons to stay and play in their local park, and experience all of the benefits of active, adventurous and imaginative outdoor play. Crafted from high quality, durable metal and UV stabilised plastic, the Activity Tower 106 was customised to suit the site and finished with an attractive combination of both natural and bright colours.
